Italy
The ideal location for your MBA: enjoy Italy while living in the heart of Europe
What is so special about living in Milan?
Milan is both a world business center and an important cultural center. It has more banks than almost any
other city in the world, but also the Brera National Art Gallery, the Scala Opera House and the Duomo, the
impressive cathedral that towers over the heart of the city. Art, theatre and film thrive here and make Milan
one of Europe’s culture capitals.
Italy’s financial district and stock exchange are within walking distance of the
School. The two most famous streets for international fashion, Via Monte Napoleone and Via della Spiga, are
also close by. Furthermore, the world famous football clubs Inter Milan and A.C. Milan play their home
matches at stadiums within close distance of the School.
What is so special about living in Northern Italy?
If you need a break from cosmopolitan life, mountains, lakes and the seaside are all close at hand.
The Italian
Alps are an hour’s drive away for skiing, hiking, walking or climbing. The lakes with their mild climate and
beautiful surroundings are even closer. And you will not need to go much further to enjoy the Mediterranean
coast or to experience Venice and the Adriatic or the Ligurian Riviera with its beautiful towns and villages
steeped in sun and in history. Just imagine being able to close your books in Milan on a Friday afternoon and,
two hours later, sipping an aperitivo before dinner in Portofino or eating focaccia and swimming in the
Mediterranean in Camogli!
A total and intense experience
« I knew I was going to the Bocconi business school in Italy but I didn't expect such a complete experience of Italy!
Living in the centre of a vibrant city like Milan, interacting with Italian students and Bocconi teachers, gave me immense respect for the character of Italians - creative, spontaneous and full of resources. »
