The Career Development Service is a valued consulting and organizational resource for companies looking for effective recruiting means.
Besides direct access to the on-line CV search engine, CDS offers companies several significant opportunities to:
- interact with high-potential candidates throughout the Program;
- involve them in activities in the field activities (group of individual projects), testing the students' abilities and taking advantage of their advanced problem-solving skills;
- identify the ideal profiles for the recruitment of candidates and have access to the MBA participants' CVs;
- make synergic use of several recruiting means at the same time.
CDS-coordinated services for companies include, among others:
Recruit at SDA Bocconi / Recruit on Campus
On-campus recruiting is one of the means that many companies consider the best for getting to know and assess MBA participants.
During the January to February period companies come on-campus for project recruiting (see below). The September-October period is dedicated to Company Days, the climax of the recruiting process: companies present themselves to students and illustrate the positions open to MBA profiles.
Direct, targeted contacts with companies, while students are still completing their MBA program, foster quality results for both MBA participants and recruiters.
CV Book and on-line CV Database
The CV Book is an annual publication that collects the students' CVs in a structured fashion so as to highlight the "selling proposition" of each profile. It is sent to approximately 1000 Italian and international companies and is available upon request. There is also an on-line version with a search engine available for partner companies.
Job Posting and Recruiting Services
The Career Development Service co-ordinates job-posting activities, publishing suitable job offers and working with companies looking for MBA job profiles. A detailed description of the job opening, as well as of the required profile, guarantees a targeted distribution of the job offers.
The CDS also offers interested companies customized assistance to support development policies and the management of high potentials, working alongside partner companies in the various phases of the recruitment up to the selection interview.
In-company Summer Projects
Through the Career Development Service, selected companies offer students the chance to develop a full-scale, real consultancy project.
Participants must check out in the field what they have learnt in the classroom, blending together the knowledge and skills from different functional areas in order to provide the company with the innovative and practical solutions they were looking for. Projects are also an important means for companies and students to get to know and assess each other.
MBA participants can work in individual or group projects (where 3 to 6 students act as a consultancy team, with the assistance of a School tutor), interacting with the company staff.
Projects last from 8 to 12 weeks in the June to August period.
Scholarships, Sponsorship and Visibility Policies
Granting one or more scholarships, companies can support the admission to the Program of suitable candidates, selected by the company in collaboration with the MBA Admissions Office.
Another opportunity for companies willing to increase the visibility of their brand is the sponsorship of club and extra-curricular activities organized by the MBA students both in Italy and abroad: sports and charity events, leisure and cultural activities, creative competitions Club initiatives, MBA Charity Events, MBA Tournament, MBA's Cup - Mediterranean Regatta and Conference, regattas, MBA Ski Cup.
